U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) will announce his resignation Wednesday.

The Chicago Democrat's brother Jonathan Jackson told the Chicago Tribune that the congressman will announce he is leaving Congress in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner early Wednesday afternoon.
